North Gyeongsang Province has become the first region in Korea to implement the E-7-3 visa system for automotive parts manufacturing, directly matching local companies with trained foreign workers.

The province hosted an E-7-3 job-matching event on January 16 in Daegu, bringing together government officials, industry representatives, and foreign talent. The initiative marks the most proactive rollout of the Ministry of Justice’s E-7-3 visa pilot program, designed to support small and mid-sized manufacturers outside the capital region.

Foreign workers trained specifically for the auto parts sector will be placed immediately with companies in North Gyeongsang’s automotive manufacturing cluster, following a demand-based matching process. Provincial officials expect the program to serve as a model for expansion across other industries nationwide.
